Solomon Asante and Nii Adjei miss out on CAF Super Cup trophy with TP Mazembe
Ghanaian duo Solomon Asante and Daniel Nii Adjei missed out on the CAF Super Cup trophy after their team TP Mazembe lost 1-0 to South African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns
The two (Nii Adjei and Solomon Asante) were hoping to get their hands on the trophy having helped their team to win the CAF Confederations Cup.
Ricardo Nascimento scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 83rd minute to help Sundowns become the overall Champions in Africa.
Both Nii Adjei and Solomon Asante played full throttle for the Congolese side at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium in Pretoria with Asante causing lots of threats and problems to the defense of Sundowns.
Fellow Ghanaian Yaw Frimpong was not included in the TP Mazembe match-day squad.
